Preserving Stories Beyond the Moment
A Thoughtful Approach to Preservation
The Three-Copy Principle
A Legacy Film is created once — but it’s meant to endure.
Archival Stewardship is how we protect stories beyond delivery, ensuring they remain intact, retrievable, and cared for long after they’re created.
Digital memories are surprisingly fragile when left unattended.
Files are lost. Formats change. Drives fail. Accounts lapse.
Our approach to archival stewardship is designed to remove chance from the equation — replacing it with intention, redundancy, and care.
We treat these films as we would our own family’s history.
Every archived Legacy Film is protected using a layered, three-copy system:
1. Encrypted Cloud Archive
A secure, encrypted digital copy stored in the cloud for accessibility and redundancy.
2. Local Cold Archive
An offline master copy maintained on dedicated archival storage media, disconnected from daily use.
3. Off-Site Cold Archive
A second offline copy stored separately to protect against physical loss, damage, or disaster.
This structure ensures that no single failure can compromise the story.
Included with Every Legacy Film
The first year of Archival Stewardship is included with every Legacy Film.
This allows families and organizations to enjoy peace of mind immediately, without being asked to make long-term decisions upfront.
Privacy & Access
All archived materials are handled with discretion.
Access remains under the client’s control, and retrieval procedures are designed to be clear and respectful. Authorized representative documentation can be added when required.
Legacy Films are never shared, published, or accessed without explicit permission.
Why Stewardship Matters
Stories are not just files — they are presence, voice, and memory.
Archival Stewardship ensures that these elements are preserved intentionally, not left to chance or forgotten technology.
